چکیده
Sarafloxacin (SAR) is an antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone group and also one of most widely used antibiotics in veterinary medicine. Potential performance appropriate effectiveness have made SAR a special place among antibiotics. Antibiotic residues environment cause many problems, important which resistance. Therefore, it necessary to remove environment. Response surface methodology (RSM) was utilized as mathematics statistics approach optimize removal efficiency using catalytic ozonation process. The obtained regression equation for response quadratic mathematical model. coefficient determination (R2), adjusted R2, predicted R2 were at 0.9939, 0.9917, 0.9855, respectively. maximum 99.3% under optimum conditions, including concentration 30.0 mg L-1, ozone dose 1.5 min-1, catalyst (modified activated carbon) 600 pH 5.0, reaction time 30 min. According results, process suitable technique can efficiently other pharmaceutical compounds.

متن کاملComparing activated carbon and magnetic activated carbon in removal of linear alkylbenzene sulfonate from aqueous solution by heterogeneous catalytic ozonation process
Activated carbon from pine cone (PCAC) was used as a precursor to prepare Fe3O4/magnetic activated carbon (MPCAC). Here, the removal of linear alkylbenzene sulfonate (LAS) was studied using catalytic ozonation process (COP) in exposure to MPCAC. Subsequently, it was compared with PCAC. Moreover, the effects of solution's initial pH, catalyst dosage, and the time of ozonati...
متن کاملThe Perlite-calcium Alginate-activated Carbon Composite as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Dyes from Aqueous Solutions
To remove dyes from wastewater, the perlite-calcium alginate–activated carbon (PCA) composite was prepared by a simple method. This composite was characterized by FTIR, XRD, SEM, and BET techniques. A high capacity of PCA was observed for the adsorption of some dyes such as methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) from aqueous solutions (1111 and 909 mg g-1). The best results were achieved at...
